Self-Assessment

Try this quick self-assessment for your facility/campus:

Check Yes No
Are all external doors and windows secured at night?
Are emergency communications effective and reliable?
Are there appropriate written procedures, including cash handling?
Are staff safe from assault when working alone or in isolation?
Are agency staff provided with appropriate site layout and emergency response information?
Are food storage and food preparation areas adequately secured?
Do evening staff feel ‘safe’ when arriving at or leaving the site?
Are security incidents always reported?
Are there methods and technology in place to control and detect persons entering/leaving without appropriate supervision?
Has your facility undertaken a security risk assessment in accordance with AS 4485 and AS/NZS ISO 3000 -2009?(also of benefit to schools).
If yes, was the risk assessment undertaken by a professional and independent risk management consultant?
If you have ticked no to any of the above, or are unsure of the answer, you may have a security and legal risk. Please contact us!
