The Australia-New Zealand Counter-Terrorism Committee in 2013 published a set of guidelines for Government and business to help protect Australians from firearm attacks in places of mass gathering. They mirror those developed and promoted by U.S. federal government agencies and based on their extensive experience with crimes of this type. This publication should prove to be useful to schools and other campus environments wanting to update their awareness and procedures pertaining to this type of threat.
